Capitalism rocks

Thank God for John McCain. If it wasn’t for him capitalism would be dead.

The government recently promised the auto industry $25 billion in loans in order to produce more fuel-efficient models. Now, as General Motors and Chrysler consider a merger, executives are hinting at another $10 billion in federal help. Earlier this week, top McCain adviser Carly Fiorina said the campaign opposes any auto bailout:

“I don’t think the government can rescue the industry,” Carly Fiorina, former chief executive of Hewlett-Packard Corp, told Reuters at an event in suburban Detroit.”Whatever the government does, it should not take away the fundamentals of risk-taking. Sometimes it leads to rewards and sometimes consequences, downside,” she said. “In other words, the auto industry cannot be saved from its own bad bets.”

Today, however, interviewed on Good Morning America, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) expressed support for the auto industry bailouts:

Q: We’re finding out that there may be a possibility of some sort of bail-out or government assistance for the auto industry. Would that be something that you would support?

MCCAIN: Well, we’ve already done that to $25 billion, and we’ve delayed getting them the money. I would do whatever I think needs to be done to help our automotive industry. We’ve got to make this transition to flex fuel, battery powered, hydrogen automobiles. And, obviously — and, also, I would provide tax credits for people who buy these new automobiles. We’ve got to keep this industry alive. There’s no doubt about that.

Fuck you John McCain.

You bitch about Barack Obama being a socialist because he wants to ‘help’ middle class America (sorry poor America…nobody gives a shit about you) yet you want to bail out the auto industry?

Quit pandering to those red-neck, crazy-ass Christians.

You used to be a POW. You told people with large guns to fuck off.

Look at you.

Now you’re nothing but a big, fat, smelly old pussy.

Were is the man who ran in 2000?  The man who said:

Specifically, Mr. McCain singled out the evangelists Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell as “corrupting influences on religion and politics” and said parts of the religious right were divisive and even un-American.

I guess he found the Lord. Not the ‘Everybody is a child of the Lord’ Lord.

No he found the ‘I punish those that sin, I hate gays, the end of the world is coming’ Lord.

Fuck him. I hope he gets elected. I want the people of  ‘Real America’ to watch him die within the first month and Sarah Palin takes over.

It’s what everyone wants,  right? Sarah Palin for President. I’m sure she will be a better President than John McCain.

In her interview with Fox News’ Greta van Susteren last night, Gov. Sarah Palin appeared to claim that the U.S. needs to “win” the non-existent war with Iran:

We realize that more and more Americans are starting to see the light there and understand the contrast. And we talk a lot about, OK, we’re confident that we’re going to win on Tuesday, so from there, the first 100 days, how are we going to kick in the plan that will get this economy back on the right track and really shore up the strategies that we need over in Iraq and Iran to win these wars?

Goddamnit.

We are entering a new age people.

World War III in HD….I can’t wait….

McCain’s anti-socialism stance

Excellent, effusive summary of the conversion of McCain to what he is today! And when will we be at war with Pakistan and all those other -stans in the area?
It’s always important to win wars, but at least let’s wait for an attack or threat before declaring the need for victory.

@Aoi – I thought we were already at war with Pakistan? Shit. All those brown people look the same….

@Jerod Opsal – Isn’t it sad when telling the truth is ‘pushing the envelope’?

Thanks for the complement….it makes me feel all nice inside…

Aaagghhh..almost – ALMOST – makes me want to withdraw my current support for this guy. MAN – he’s making it really hard for me. I didn’t like the guy to begin with – but – he is still the best of two evils.

The reason I haven’t done the early voting thing yet is because I still really haven’t committed to pulling the lever for him. I really don’t want to see Obama in the ‘house – but – if he continues this kind of shit – I might just go ahead and vote for Castle/Baldwin anyway!

@Bobo – Isn’t voting for the lesser of two evils still mean whoever gets in office is evil?

I look at it this way. Say you go to the doctor and he says, “Bill, the test we ran found out you have two types of cancer: brain cancer and colon cancer. Now we can only get rid of one. It won’t cure you since the other cancer will kill you but it can give you a little bit of time. Sure you will be in incredible pain and at some point you will wish you were dead, but that’s just the side effects of wanting to live. Haha. I know it’s a hard decision but I’d go after the brain cancer. Colon cancer is the lesser of the two evils.”

    What would you say?

“Well I need to get rid of one of them or I have no reason to complain when I’m about to die.”

Fuck that. I’d tell the doctor to blow me and spend the rest of my time with the people I love….stoned out of my mind.
