Today is the day ABC and Barack Obama come together and talk about health care, and I’m fucking stoked.
I wonder what he’s going to say. Will he say he’s in favor of a co-pay system? Will he say he’s in favor of a single payer option? Will he say, “I know 76 percent of Americans support a public plan, but I’m not in favor of it because I have to appease the Republicans. Besides, Congress isn’t going to pass anything. Have you seen how much money they’re getting from the health industry? Jesus, those guys are more corrupt than Spiro Agnew.”
Goddammit, I haven’t been this excited since I found out Stormy Daniels was running for Senate.

He’s going to cave in on the public option just to get bipartisan support for something, anything. More than on anything else, as far as I’m concerned, this will start the long slow death of his presidency. I hope I’m wrong, I hope he fights for this and says, “Fuck the GOP! I’m going to make sure we do the right thing”, but I’m afraid he won’t. If not now, when? He has to push for it.

If they don’t approve the single payer option (the only viable one out there) and if they don’t have the balls to stand up to the medical industry and the food industry – just like they didn’t have the balls to really stand up to the financial shysters – they should all be sent to Guantanamo and given an orange jumpsuit for life.
