It helped me most when I spent a year in the 80's overseeing Ford's prints transformation to metric as the tooling factories moved to Mexico. That was the period when they actually made a commercial that said : World class technology in America today! I think it was the Fiesta intro. So, funny this pus filled boil chose to rant on the metric system. It is yet another perfect example of how focus on short term profits ( we were tooled to inches in our auto industry) pissed away our long term prosperity.
