In fairness O’Reilly is right to say that technically he was talking about the arrested protesters. Look at his specific sentences and that’s undeniable.
The problem – and one that he’s only too happy to take advantage of – is that most of his audience isn’t smart enough to deconstruct sentences and analyse wording. They will simply hae inferred that all protesters are loons.
