Yes, I know today is the eighth anniversary of 9/11. And yes, I know that 2,974 Americans died during 9/11. And yes, I know that our politicians, TV pundits, famous newspaper columnist, and famous radio personalities say we should never forget 9/11. But I want to put things into perspective.
So here is a list of things that have killed more Americans than 9/11:
- Prescription Drugs
- Aspirin
- Tobacco
- Televised Bowling
- Iraqi War
- Obesity
- Car crashes
- Alcohol
- Lifetime Channel
- Suicides
- Cancer
- Aids
- WNBA
- Heart Disease
- Handgun Accidents
- Suffocation
- Drowning
- Falls
- Grey’s Anatomy
Also, since 9/11, America is responsible for over 30,000 Iraqi civilian deaths and 20,000 Afghanistan civilian deaths.
So today while we beat our chest and proclaim to the world how we’re going to wipe those Muslim assholes off the face of the earth for attacking America, just remember this list and shut the fuck up.

Phuck Politics says:
@cft – Glad you agree.

What you mean is that it’s the eighth anniversary of the WTC attacks.
The month of September is thousands of years old, and would never hurt a fly.
Phuck Politics says:
@R0y – Yeah, I didn’t mean to talk shit about September.

While all the rah-rah patriots are remembering things, I’ve suggested they also remember this. It’s just part of the results of the lies the Bush Administration told us and too many of them believed. This is just part.
“Iraqi Civilians Killed, Estimated – A UN issued report dated Sept 20, 2006 stating that Iraqi civilian casualties have been significantly under-reported. Casualties are reported at 50,000 to over 100,000, but may be much higher. Some informed estimates place Iraqi civilian casualities at over 600,000.”
Here’s the link. The rest of the stats are interesting too.

@Mikeb – Thanks for the link, but you know Americans don’t care about how many brown people our military kills.
