Hi, my name is Robert Erickson and Im really excited to be here. Its people like all of you, and events like this that make our country great! Give yourselves a round of applause!
I just want to talk about a couple themes this afternoon because I love this country and I want to see America be the best place it can be.
Mr. Gutierrez is getting ready to propose an immigration bill in just a few short days, and we have to make sure he knows that we want a bill thats tough on immigration. Now is the time for us to stand up and make our voices heard!
In Minneapolis, where Im from, we have a huge immigrant population thats been causing a number of problems. With the economy in recession, and so many people getting laid off, and unable to find work, immigrants should not be competing for the few jobs that are out there. Its just not fair to the folks who have a claim to this land and the right to be here. All across America, they are contributing to the flooding of our job markets making it hard for Americans to find jobs. Well Im fed up and its time to let our politicians know that enough is enough, and were not gonna take it any more!
We need to secure our borders to protect our country. We need to restore order and put an end to the anarchy thats sweeping the nation. We need tougher immigration laws to make sure that we send these people back where they came from. We need to protect the sovereignty of the real Americans. We need to hold our politicians accountable.
Its no secret that with an invasion of immigrants, comes waves of crime. We see them involved in massive theft, in murder, and bringing diseases like smallpox, which is responsible for the death of millions of Americans. These arent new problems though, they have been going on for hundreds of years, and continue to this day.
I say its time for us to say enough is enough! Are you with me? Are you with me? Lets send these European immigrants back where they came from! I dont care if they are Polish, Irish, English, Italian, or Norwegian! European immigrants are responsible for the most violent and heinus crimes in the history of the world, including genocide and slavery! Its time to restore the sovereignty of people native to this land! I want more workplace raids, starting with the big banks downtown. There are thousands of illegals working in those buildings, hiding in their offices, and taking Dakota jobs. Let’s round them up and ship them out. Then we need to hit them at home where they sleep, I dont care if we separate families, they should have known better when they came here illegally!
If we aren’t able to stand up to these European immigrants, who can we stand up to? We need to send every one of them back home, right now.

I think it depends on where you are. It’s nothing but republicans who do that around here. I don’t think the people who do that even care what a real liberal or republican are. They just need some title to cling to. That’s probably why both parties have bad reputations for various reasons.

I find that most liberals rarely “debate”, they simply close their eyes and open their mouths loudly. Which is why I tend to go for the juggler more often than even attempt debate in a liberal forum.
I have some liberal friends who simply mean well, but have ZERO knowledge of how the world works, economics, foreign relations, cause and effect of each and what the past facts teach us.
There’s always two sides, some garbage on both, but we need to pick the one that makes most sense to the majority, that fits well with our conscience and is tempered with factual past and predictable future.
There’s nothing wrong with feel good ideas, but when those feel good ideas hurt a majority and wear at the fabric of our society, they need to be called out for the misguidance that they are, intentional or not.

I’d rather he get his bone marrow transplant in one of the socialized medicine countries so he can see if he can handle the pain while he waits, or maybe simply not get it at all. I keep hearing that, for example, in Canada, there health care sucks and you have to wait ages to get anything done. I’ve always heard this from people who have never been to Canada though. The Canadian buddies I have have both praised and complained there system. They’ve suggested the wait isn’t RIDICULOUS, and you WILL get care if you desperately need it, kind of like our ERs, but the wait can suck sometimes. I’m not Canadian, so I dunno. Every time I tell that to people they seem to think I’m not talking to real people or something. I think a lot of this health care negativity is possible but it really seems like the insurance companies and what not are pushing this scare on people. It seems to me like more would get done if we could just make them behave and stop being profit whores, but I don’t have answers, just observations…

I served in the Air Force and lived for a long time in England and a short time in Canada, and I know first hand what their healthcare is like. And truthfully you somewhat hit it on the head, imagine all your doctor visits and needs like a trip to the ER – hours of waiting, basic hastend care.
Insurance companies are the targeted liberal enemy to try pushing this abysmal bill, and insurance companies do need ‘reform’, but liberals can’t help allowing their own agenda to get in the way of real reform. Are conservatives the same often? Yes. but conservatives are for less government, individual freedom and prosperity, and defense of our nation, and that’s what our Constitution is about.

Somehow the stupid family got into some discussion about Palin and I was told by the hardcore Fox News worshipping family member, “Everyone is fired up because there’s so much hate for republicans right now so anything they do is wrong and blah blah blah”. Now, the dude is a total dick and won’t discuss anything to do with politics without popping a vein, even with me half the time, and I’m pretty non combative…
I think a big reason people are so against the whole conservative thing doesn’t really have anything to do with the values…but because a lot of them are so SMUG in it and abrasive that you almost WANT them to fail. In my small world and experience there also total assholes. Not because of what they believe, but just in general. I think that explains a lot. They almost have noble causes but in the end they would rather be glued to there televisions than anything. I’m glad I don’t watch any kind of cable TV or whatever. My TV consists of a TV, surround sound, Netflix subscription, 360, Kevin Smith movies and cartoons. lol. I guess that’s pretty stupid too, but I’m not claiming I know anything and can guarantee you I use it 10x less then most people do. It doesn’t tell me what to do.

Nothing is worth watching except an occasional movie, hell my kids watch 1hr of Wubbzy or something a day and that’s pretty much the only time its on. Ask most Americans about whats happening in our country and they have this amazing “duh” look, but ask them who has the biggest vampire teeth on twilight and they’ll verbatim episode after episode.
When it comes to politics, no one can claim to know everything since politics itself is more about opinions. If you think big government is good, you’re probably a liberal, opposite opinion and you side with conservative.
Problem is the last 4 years of GWB office, the libs had a field day of hatred and verbal bashing. Some of it realistic, much of it not. Obama is way out of his league, and the democratic majority and he both are ignoring the majority of Americans . But again this is very liberal, they feel they can dictate what’s best for you regardless if you want it or not, and lie through their teeth on their lack of results.
and this is the reason many conservatives like myself have started to push back, because we’re NOT stupid, and we’re NOT a political side. We have opinions, and they go strongly against what the liberal media and govt is pushing.
And Libs know its backfiring, so they turn up the heat regardless of the cost. and soon, very soon, the liberal govt may get what they want – a country harshly divided. United we stand, divided we fall.
And furthermore, there’s going to be a time when Conservatives are at the helm again. And do the Libs want strong government control at that point?
