@PQ8:

<i>I dunno, I thought it was pretty well written…not even because of the “flowery words”, but because there isn’t a FUCK YOU YOUR STUPID in there! haha</i>

Thanks for props; those of us who are intrepid enough to take on the blistering intellect and nimble wit of OHHH do well to support one another. It's too big an undertaking for any one man! For example, I expended so much energy denying myself the pleasure of cussing in capital letters that I forgot all about not using flowery language!

Can you repeat that, I fell asleep somewhere right after "@PhP".

I think you said something about talking points without calling them talking points, am I right? Same old shit, flowery words zero substance. I'm sleepy...

I do remember seeing something like 'Republicans are in big trouble' in between yawns, which just proves how out of touch you are.

@PhP
Thanks for sharing. Franken is awesome. He's doing his job in the way it should be done.

@OHHH:
<i>You cannot compete, it’s an impossibility. And once competition is destroyed, I have complete power. If I decide to piss in your lemonade, fuck you, drink my piss. Oh don’t like my piss? then I’ll have to take more money from you, seeing how that’s how I get my ‘unlimited funds’ anyway.</i>

This is complete and utter balderdash. What competition are you talking about, exactly? Everybody knows that the health insurance industry has enjoyed an exemption from anti-trust laws since 1945, with the passage of the McCarran-Ferguson Act.

One of several reasons that people find it difficult to take you seriously, OHHH (despite your frequent and colorful protestations...or, rather, tantrums...), is that the vision of the country's social, political and economic conditions and circumstances that you provide is hopelessly out of step with reality. Not simply because you use sloppy, incoherent language, riddled with often-inexplicable ad hominem asides, but also because you're paying lip-service to the GOP/Rush Limbaugh-contingent dogma of 1995. It simply doesn't make sense.

This is why, even in the face of the grotesque ineptitude of congressional Democrats, the Republican Party continues to be in big trouble: the party's strength has always been its capacity to engage in group-think -- to a degree that would make the Stalin-era Bolsheviks jealous! This group-think is founded upon slogans and sound-bites. People don't have to think too hard in order to remember a slogan. All you have to do is say: "Less Government!" and you are thus provided with a convenient mechanism through which to channel the roiling, bottled-up resentment and aggression that is the inevitable consequence of self-induced ignorance.

The problem is, since you and many of your fellow-GOP foot soldiers have simply been repeating phrases and gestures rather than comprehending ideas and values, once the conditions in the country have changed to such an extent as to make the positions you've been advocating untenable, you're -- as it were -- S.O.L. Because you're still complaining about the tyranny and/or inherent rottenness of anything related to government or the public sector in a time in which EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT IT'S THE PRIVATE SECTOR THAT IS TO BLAME for our current woes and crises, from skyrocketing health insurance premiums to unregulated markets.

It you were actually committed to the principles of laissez-faire, market competition, you would be IN FAVOR of the government intervening in the health insurance industry, for that is the only way in which the present system of privately maintained and administered monopolies can be destroyed (the 'trusts busted') and sound competition restored.

Same with the stock market: no one who REALLY believes in 'market capitalism' thinks that Wall Street, with its near-total control of lawmakers from BOTH PARTIES represents a legitimate 'market'. It's an oligarchy, whose power currently far exceeds that of the voters. The idea of opposing the strengthening of the regulation of finance capitalism and the banking sector in the name of 'competition' -- to say nothing of 'liberty'!! -- is simply ludicrous.

I'm just really glad OHHH feels so comfortable here with us inferior, retarded liberals. I mean, it doesn't matter if his assessment of us as retards or inferior is correct, in his mind he sees us that way, yet he keeps coming here, and to what end? For what real purpose? What balanced person keeps coming back to compete against others he thinks of as retarded or inferior? Obviously someone with something to prove, even if he can't articulate it or bear to face it. Interesting. Of course he'll just deflect this issue and throw something really smart right back at me, but that's ok. I'm not here to debate inferiors like him. And every response he gives just keeps proving my point.

See phuck, if you knew anything about history or economics you'd realize what a public option would really do.

Let me ask you a simple question.

We both make lemonade. I have virtually unlimited funds and don't need to make a profit. You have to make a profit or you won't be able to put food on the table.

Do you honestly believe you'll stay in business?

You cannot compete, it's an impossibility. And once competition is destroyed, I have complete power. If I decide to piss in your lemonade, fuck you, drink my piss. Oh don't like my piss? then I'll have to take more money from you, seeing how that's how I get my 'unlimited funds' anyway.

The problem is I know agenda libs know this. They don't care about competition, They simply want everything ran by the government so the entire US can 'divvy' up regardless of productivity. And we all know that that means don't we?

Oh you don't know what that means?
Lets see... I don't work, and you do. I get some of your money, so does my neighbor who also doesn't work, and a couple other guys up the road who are too tired to work. How long will you keep working to support us who do not?

It's a fucked up road you libs are trying to pave, and this is the reason most Americans don't support it - It's common sense, not politics.

OHHH - So you're for competition but against the thing that will force private insurances to compete?

@PQ8 - <em>Why are these people in places of importance????</em>

They're in places of importance because they're rich, white, and believe in an imaginary superhero.
