The poor get no respect:

Led by Democrats, the House approved a measure Thursday that would permanently extend the so-called Bush tax cuts for the middle class while allowing breaks for the wealthiest Americans to expire. The final vote, 234 to 188, was largely along party lines — though 20 Democrats broke with their party to oppose the measure, while three Republicans voted yes.
Still, the vote was largely symbolic and more of a political maneuver meant to appease Democrats who oppose extending tax cuts for the wealthy. The bill has no chance of passing the Senate, where Republicans and some Democrats have signaled they won’t support a bill that doesn’t include a tax break for all Americans. (You can read Yahoo! Politics editor Jane Sasseen’s analysis of the tax-cut vote here.)

While President Obama says he remains opposed to extending tax breaks for the wealthy, the White House has signaled it might be willing to compromise.

On Wednesday, the administration, led by Obama budget director Jack Lew and Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, began negotiations with members of Congress on a tax deal. One proposal on the table: a temporary extension of all the Bush tax cuts, including those for the wealthy, for three years.

Of course Obama and the Democrats are going to compromise with Republicans. They want tax breaks just like all the other rich cunts do. They just can’t come out and say they want the tax break. So they let the Republicans do the dirty work while the they piss and moan about not being able to do anything.

You see, Democrats are like that good, sexy Christian girl in high school who really wants to get boned by the star quarterback but can’t do it because of her image. So she accepts an invitation from him to go to a party up at his friend’s lake house under the guise of “trying to save his soul”. But once she gets to the house she knowingly drinks the special punch he hands her and before long she’s got her $79 dollar American Eagle jeans and $37 Victoria Secret thong around her ankles and is doing her best Nick Mangold impression.

So if you honestly believe that Democrats care about the poor than you are dumber than my cousin Mike trying to explain Inception to his retarded 19-year-old niece.

Those goddamn 1993 Republicans were nothing more than socialist Nazi gangbangers who were trying to kill everyone’s grandma:

For Republicans, the idea of requiring every American to have health insurance is one of the most abhorrent provisions of the Democrats’ health overhaul bills.

“Congress has never crossed the line between regulating what people choose to do and ordering them to do it,” said Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT). “The difference between regulating and requiring is liberty.”

But Hatch’s opposition is ironic, or some would say, politically motivated. The last time Congress debated a health overhaul, when Bill Clinton was president, Hatch and several other senators who now oppose the so-called individual mandate actually supported a bill that would have required it.

[...]

One reason the individual mandate appealed to conservatives is because it called for individual responsibility to address what economists call the “free-rider effect.” That’s the fact that if a person is in an accident or comes down with a dread disease, that person is going to get medical care, and someone is going to pay for it.

“We called this responsible national health insurance,” says Pauly. “There was a kind of an ethical and moral support for the notion that people shouldn’t be allowed to free-ride on the charity of fellow citizens.

[...]

But the summary of the Republican bill from the Clinton era and the Democratic bills that passed the House and Senate over the past few months are startlingly alike.

Beyond the requirement that everyone have insurance, both call for purchasing pools and standardized insurance plans. Both call for a ban on insurers denying coverage or raising premiums because a person has been sick in the past. Both even call for increased federal research into the effectiveness of medical treatments — something else that used to have strong bipartisan support, but that Republicans have been backing away from recently.

Only in America will you find a liberal party trying to reform health care by using a 17-year-old conservative party idea and the conservative party calling the idea the liberal party stole from them as a socialized, Marxist, government-run death camp.

The Senate needs to kill this health care bill:

This is essentially the collapse of health care reform in the United States Senate. Honestly the best thing to do right now is kill the Senate bill, go back to the House, start the reconciliation process, where you only need 51 votes and it would be a much simpler bill.

There’s nothing in this bill that benefits you or me. There’s no single-payer, no public option, no prescription drug reimportation, and no extending Medicaid.

But there’s a ton of things in this bill that benefits Big Business. There’s a mandate that makes it illegal not to have health insurance. There’s a provision banning drug reimportation. And there’s a provision that makes it more difficult for generic drug makers to produce cheaper versions of popular drugs.

So this health care bill is nothing but a huge hand out to the health insurance/pharmaceutical industry. Yet liberals and progressives want this bill to pass.

Why?

Why do they want to pass a bill that makes not having health insurance illegal? Why do they want to pass a bill that doesn’t include prescription drug reimportation? Why do they want to pass a bill that helps the health insurance/pharmaceutical industry more than the American people?

Maybe it’s because they have developed a serious case of Stockholm syndrome and think Democrats have their best interest in mind. Or maybe it’s because they honestly think this is the best bill they can get.

Whatever their reason is they need to know that this health care bill is worthless and it needs to die a horrible, painful, violent death.

But since they can’t be reasoned with, and since they think Obama shits golden truffles, this health care bill will pass through both the Senate and the House and Obama will sign it by the end of January.

Which means I need to call my stock broker and have him put all my money in Atena, because they’re fixing to make a killing.

Update: Looks like Howard Dean hit a nerve.

I thought everyone knew Joe Lieberman was going to do this:

Senator Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.) informed Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) in a face-to-face meeting on Sunday that he will vote against a health care bill that includes a public option or a provision that would expand Medicare, a Democratic Senate aide tells the Huffington Post.

The two senators had a discussion in Reid’s office shortly after Lieberman appeared on CBS’s Face the Nation Sunday morning. The Connecticut independent discussed with Reid some of his concerns about the legislation, elaborating on issues he had raised during the show. According to the source, who was briefed on the exchange, Lieberman punctuated the discussion by telling the majority leader directly that he will vote against the bill if the Medicare buy-in and public option provisions remain in it. Roll Call reports that Lieberman said he would also support a Republican filibuster of legislation that included these provisions.

Joe Lieberman has been screwing over Democrats ever since Al Gore picked him to be his running mate in 2000. So why is this a surprise? I mean, you’d think the Democratic leadership would have anticipated this from the guy that smeared Obama during the campaign .

But regardless of how stupid the Democratic leadership is for not seeing this move, I hope they force Joe Lieberman to follow through with the filibuster. Why? Two reasons: I’ve never seen a live filibuster and I want this health care bill to die.

Now I know this may come as a shock to you, but I’ve never seen a live filibuster and I’m curious to see how long Joe Lieberman can speak. Because when I saw him on Face the Nation yesterday he sounded like a fat man struggling up a flight of stairs. And that was just during a 21 and a half minute show. I can only imagine how difficult it will be for him to speak for four, five, or six straight hours.

The second reason I want to see Joe Lieberman go through with the filibuster is because this health care bill needs to die a slow, painful death. Because it’s a bill written by the health insurance industry for the health insurance industry.

As the bill stands right now the health insurance industry gets to keep the inexpensive, healthy young people while forcing the government to take the expensive, sick old people. Which means the health insurance industry will make hundreds of millions of dollars in profit each year because they won’t have to spend money of things like heart surgery, life long diabetes medicine, knee replacements, hip replacements, and other things old people need. (How is that fair? And how is the government capable of taking care of people 55 and older but incapable of taking care of people 54 and younger?)

But I know Joe Lieberman’s not going to go through with the filibuster because Democrats are sackless, corporate shills who are going to give in to his demands and pass a health care bill that benefits the health insurance industry while fucking over every one else.

Why can’t normal people get away with the shit politicians do? Why can’t someone who’s about to get fired go, “You know what? I don’t feel like losing my job today, so I’ve decided to become the CEO and do the firing.” Why can’t someone who wants some information go, “You know what? I think that guy is banging my wife, so I’m going to tell my paperboy to strap him to a table and waterboard his ass until I get an answer.” Why can’t someone who’s about to go bankrupt go, “You know what? I don’t feel like being broke, so I’m going to create a failing business and get the government to bail me out with billions of dollars that I don’t have to pay back.”

Why do these rich, white stupid-ass motherfuckers get to make up the rules as they go along to benefit them, while they force every other poor son of a bitch to play by the first set of rules and continue to get fucked over?

For the love of God, could we please, PLEASE, have a crazy person storm the Capital while Congress is in session and blow these motherfuckers away? For fuck’s sake, these are the assholes who are screwing you over. Not illegal immigrants.

You’ve just gotten a taste of how this torture shit is going to play out.

Liberal activists are pressing for the impeachment of federal Judge Jay Bybee over the Bush administration’s “torture memos” in part because there is virtually nothing that President Barack Obama, congressional Republicans or conservative Senate Democrats can do to stop the process from getting underway.

Ah, yes, the classic Washington “Us verses Them” bullshit. Where the Democrats will say things like, “This is outrageous. How is this man a federal judge? He signed a memo giving permission to waterboard detainees, stick their heads in a box full of bugs, slam their heads into a wall, slap them, and deprive them of sleep. How can this man say he will uphold the Constitution when he shat on its chest 7 years ago?”

And the Republicans will respond with, “Fuck that. There were high ranking Democrats who knew we were torturing those nasty brown pieces of shit in Iraq and Afghanistan. Did they object? Fuck no. They were too busy getting paid thousands of dollars by lobbyists to care about the fucked up shit we were doing to people. If they’re going to impeach anyone it should be their own goddamn selves.”

Think I’m lying? Read this shit :

Republicans are pushing back. The Judiciary Committee’s ranking member, Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Texas), warned that Democratic leaders also would also come under scrutiny. He said Podesta should also pursue House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over her lack of action following classified briefings she received on the interrogation techniques.

“If he wants to be absolutely fair, he ought to ask the speaker to resign as well,” Smith told POLITICO on Monday. “Clearly, any attorney should be able to offer their legal advice and give their best counsel to a president and to an administration without fear of someone trying to reach back and impeach them when they get to a higher office.”

So it looks like nothing is going to change. Rich, powerful white people will continue to torture poor brown people. The media will continue to make this a Republicans vs. Democrats issue. And Americans could care less because they are too busy worrying about the stupid fucking swine flu.

You know…business as usual…

The sun is out. Birds are singing. And white people are starting to come together. Yes my friends, today is national tea party day. So put on your best protesting clothes and get ready to throw tiny tea bags into some large body of water.

Today’s the day to come together and protest the trillions of dollars Barack Obama put on the books; to protest the tax rates that won’t affect 95% of the population; and to protest how shitty the Main Stream Media is – except for Fox News. Today’s the day when we all come together to protest how we hate getting ass fucked by our government.

Never mind how the ass fucking has been going on since the 1970′s. Never mind how the tax rate was higher when Ronald Reagan was in office. Never mind how the corporations have been pushing this shit since that douche bag Rick Santelli screamed at Obama about bailing out homeowners as he stood in the middle of the stock market. Never mind how you all are acting like a herd of retarded sheep by doing whatever the fuck rich people tell you to do.

You go out there and yell those stupid chants. You go out there and hold hands while bitching about the government. You go out there and listen to those Republican congressmen tell you how sick they are of spending your money. You go out there and shed a tear when some old soldier speaks about how this isn’t the America he fought for. You go out there and blame everything on Obama and the Democrats. You go out there and ignore the fact that Congress was controlled by Republicans for 13 years.

Because you’re standing up for what you believe in, and for that I say – God bless you.

I’m sick of hearing how great God is. I’m sick of hearing how our politicians love him, and how much they pray to him. I’m sick of seeing little children getting brainwashed into thinking they’re worthless. I’m sick of hearing how bad things happen because we’ve forsaken him. I’m sick of seeing thousands of educated people cram into some goofy looking building to worship a fictitious being.

I’m sick of hearing how some family that’s had their child raped and murdered by some fucked up psychopath say, “This is a part of God’s Will.” I’m sick of hearing how we don’t need to worry about the economy because, “God will take care of it.” I’m sick of hearing people say, “We don’t need to worry about Global warming because God won’t let man destroy the world.”

Goddammit people, get your fucking heads out of the sand. Most of the shit that’s gone on in the world today can be traced back to our government. Our government, Republicans and Democrats, allow shit to happen to us.

It was our government that passed laws allowing corporations to build factories in other countries, which forced millions of Americans out of work- not God. It was our government that passed laws deregulating Wall Street, which destroyed millions of Americans’ 401(k)s – not God. It was our government that passed laws allowing them to take our personal freedom and wiretap millions of Americans – not God.

Our government has had a hand in every fucking problem we’re facing today, yet you ignorant bastards would rather believe some all-knowing, all-powerful dickbag is allowing all this shit to happen because you’ve pissed him off; instead of opening your goddamn eyes and seeing how bad you’re getting fucked over by the people who’ve been sworn to protect you.

You know the government is the root of your problems. You know the government is the cause of everything that’s wrong in this world. You know the government is ran by evil people who only care about themselves, yet you can’t admit it. Why?

Because you’re a pussy.

Because it’s easier to wish your problems away. Because it’s easier to make excuses like, “I’m just one person. What can I do?” and “I want to protest, but I don’t know how to get people to come with me.” But you can meet up every Sunday with a few hundred of your friends, and pray to your invisible buddy for help.

What a bunch of horseshit.

I’m getting fucking tried of you stupid fucking people saying, “God will take care of everything. We just need to sit here and not question those who are in power because God put them there. And who are we to question God?”

So if you’re one of those people, do me a favor – kill yourself. Because you’re not trying to help find a solution, you’re a part of the goddamn problem.

This has to be a lie.

In the midst of the congressional outrage over bonuses and bailouts, many of the very firms who benefited from TARP funds are still making political donations. And the politicians are still taking them.

According to the latest F.E.C. data for February, several members of Congress who have been critical of the federal government’s bailout of U.S. companies have received campaign contributions just in the last six weeks – from the firms they bailed out.

What does this say about our government? That they really don’t care about us? That they really enjoy butt fucking us? That they really can do whatever they want because we won’t do a goddamn thing about it except weep in our pillows at night?

How are we supposed to react when we see Senators Jim DeMint(R), Tom Carper(D), and Jeff Merkley(D) each receiving 6,000 dollars for their campaigns? What can we do when House Representatives Richard Neal(D), Eric Cantor(R), and John Boehner(R) receive a total of 32,500 dollars from companies we’ve bailed out? How can we compete with companies who are using our money to bribe our politicians into giving them more of our money?

No – no I don’t believe it. I can’t. Because if this was really happening the media would be all over it. Right?

I mean, the Media get’s a hard-on every time a corruption story comes along. They live for this kind of stuff. This is how they make a name for themselves. Did the Media sit on its hands when Richard Nixon was making the Constitution gag on his old cock? No. Did the Media turn a blind eye when Bill Clinton was getting his dick sucked in the White House by some fat chick? No. So the Media wouldn’t sit around with their thumbs up their asses when our government and their corporate buddies are gangbanging us. The Media cares about us too much.

And our government cares about us too. They trust us, and we trust them. Otherwise, why would we let our government torture terrorist, illegally wiretap us, illegally detain suspects, control the internet, bailout Wall Street, bailout the auto industry, continue the War of Drugs, keep gay people from getting married, continue to send hundreds of thousands of troops to the Middle East, and shit on the Constitution in our name?

Man, I need to calm the fuck down. You know what? I’m going to go smoke a joint, jerk-off to some 80′s porn, and play some Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution for the Xbox 360. Yeah – that should calm me down…
