California’s highest court upheld a voter-approved ban on same-sex marriages Tuesday but allowed about 18,000 unions performed before the ban to remain valid.
But Miles McPherson, pastor of the Rock Church in San Diego, said the court “did the right thing.”
Voters in 28 other states have approved constitutional bans on same-sex marriages, and none has been rejected, he said.
“God didn’t create the family that way,” McPherson said. “You can’t have a family with a mother and a mother, because [children] need a mother and a father to nurture their personality and their character.”
You know what? I’m glad this shit happened. I’m glad the Right Wing got what they wanted. I’m glad Fox News has something new to scream about. I’m glad George Will gets to compare gay rights to abortion.
Why?
Because I can’t wait until those homophobic shits have to live in tent towns with gay people since their stupid fucking state is broke.
Was there not one rational person on the California Supreme Court who said, “Hey guys, did you know that the heterosexual wedding industry makes 85 billion dollars a year? So I was thinking, why don’t we overturn this retarded law and cash in on gay weddings? I mean, gay couples would rather get married on a sunny beach in California instead of in some corn field in Iowa, right? Think about it, this could save our economy.”
Hell no. Instead those old fucks fear the wrath of some fictional character who says homosexuality is an abomination on par with eating shellfish.
