A night raid carried out by US and Afghan gunmen led to the deaths of two pregnant women, a teenage girl and two local officials in an atrocity which Nato then tried to cover up, survivors have told The Times.

The operation on Friday, February 12, was a botched pre-dawn assault on a policeman’s home a few miles outside Gardez, the capital of Paktia province, eastern Afghanistan. In a statement after the raid titled “Joint force operating in Gardez makes gruesome discovery”, Nato claimed that the force had found the women’s bodies “tied up, gagged and killed” in a room

Three women crouching in a hallway behind him were hit by the same volley of fire. Bibi Shirin, 22, had four children under the age of 5. Bibi Saleha, 37, had 11 children. Both of them, according to their relatives, were pregnant. They were killed instantly.

In the hallway on the other side of the compound, women poured in to tend to the casualties. Commander Dawood’s mother said: “Zahir shouted, ‘don’t fire, we work for the Government’. But while he was talking they fired again. I saw him fall down. I turned around and saw my daughter-in-law and the other women were dead.”

Nato’s original statement said: “Several insurgents engaged the joint force in a firefight and were killed.” The family maintain that no one threw so much as a stone. Rear Admiral Greg Smith, Nato’s director of communications in Kabul, denied that there had been any attempt at a cover-up.

He said that both the men who were killed were armed and showing “hostile intent” but admitted “they were not the targets of this particular raid”.

Should I believe Fox News:

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad claimed Thursday that Iran has produced its first batch of uranium enriched to a higher level, saying his country will not be bullied by the West into curtailing its nuclear program a day after the U.S. imposed new sanctions.

Ahmadinejad reiterated to hundreds of thousands of cheering Iranians on the anniversary of the 1979 foundation of the Islamic republic that the country was now a “nuclear state,” an announcement he’s made before. He insisted that Iran had no intention of building nuclear weapons.

Or should I believe Reuters:

Iran is experiencing surprising setbacks in its efforts to enrich uranium, and assessments suggest equipment failures and other difficulties could undermine its effort to ramp up its nuclear program, The Washington Post reported on Thursday.

You know what? It doesn’t matter if Iran’s bluffing. It doesn’t matter if Iran’s nuclear program has setbacks. It doesn’t matter if Iran’s vice president assassinates Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in the middle of a speech praising America. It doesn’t matter if Iran blew up every nuclear facility while Obama watched on Skype. It doesn’t matter if Iran and Israel suddenly became best friends and merged into one super country called Iranael.

It doesn’t matter, because our government will find another reason to invade Iran because they have a bunch of poor brown people that need to be killed and a ton of oil that needs to be refined.

You protect us Americans.

The new Afghan war strategy unveiled Friday by US President Barack Obama goes beyond “bullets and bombs” to a plan to overhaul international aid to Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Dismissing past aid efforts as ill-organized and underfunded, it calls for a civilian surge in Afghanistan to match the military one as well as for a 7.5 billion dollar development plan and special economic zones for Pakistan.

Whether you want to admit it or not, the United States came under attack on 9-11-01, and those responsible live in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq.  We cannot allow those 3,000 Americans to die in vain.  We must show the world that attacks on American citizens will not be tolerated.

But why stop there?  Americans are under attack every day.  To be safe, we need to spend  money on everything that’s trying to attack and kill us.  We need to spend:

• 2.1 billion dollars to fight alcohol since 85,000 Americans die from it each year.
• 3.2 billion dollars to fight tobacco  since 435,000 Americans die from it each year.
• 11.9 billion dollars to fight choking since 2,800 Americans die from it each year.
• 57.2 billion dollars to fight cancer since 565,650 Americans die from it each year.
• 9.1 billion dollars to fight murder since 16,137 Americans die from it each year.
• 6.9 billion dollars to fight rape since 94,635 Americans are attacked by it each year.
• 1.8 billion dollars to fight food poisoning since 76 million Americans are attacked by it each year.
• 1.9 billion dollars to fight chronic masturbation syndrome since thousands of lonely teenagers are attacked by it each year.
• 2.89 billion dollars to fight dry vagina syndrome since hundreds of old American women are attacked by it each year.
• 4.9 billion dollars to fight gayness since 957,200 heterosexual marriages are attacked by it each year.
• 3.26 billion dollars to fight those fucking bums who always attacked me for money each year.
• 10.32 billion dollars to fight dwarfism because tiny people always attack me each year.

With President Obama’s leadership and Congress’ funding, Americans will never have to worry about being attacked and killed again.

Are they fucking serious?

Israeli aircraft and troops continued their assault on Gaza Sunday, despite an Israeli official’s assessment that the two-week-old military operation may be in its final days.

Thirty-three Palestinians, including a pregnant woman, were killed in Gaza on Sunday, Palestinian medical sources said. Eight-hundred-ninety-eight people have been killed and 3,695 injured in Gaza since the start of fighting December 27, the sources said.

Forty-five percent of the dead were women and children, the sources said.

Who is Israel asking for patience?  Us?  Europe?  China?  Russia?  Germany?  Nobody will tell Israel what to do because they’re scared of being called anti-Semitic.  Whatever the fuck that means.  Why can’t they call people racist?  People who hate Blacks, Latinos, Asians, Afghans, Iraqis, Iranians, Cubans, Mexicans, Africans, Australians, French, British, and Eskimos are called racist but if you hate a Jew you’re anti-Semitic.  I don’t fucking understand that shit.

And fuck you CNN for spelling out the number of people dead.  Was it too difficult to type 889 people have been killed; 33 Palestinians including a pregnant woman have been killed; and 45 percent of the dead are women and children?  Or were you hoping people wouldn’t realize that 400 women and children  have been killed by the Israeli soldiers who are only suppose to be going after Hamas’ leaders?

But of course the United States will be patient.  I mean if it’s one thing our government loves, it’s slaughtering brown people in the Middle East…
